Converting item type?

Hi

Is it also possible to change item`s content type to another type? For example can I force a text item to become a folder? I understand that there could be some data loss during the conversion but it might be useful to me.

thanks

From the Items Attribute Pane (Ctrl-4), look at Template Item Attribute, will provide a pick list of available Templates for the Item Type - Document:

"Folder" and "Text" items are compatible, so you can change one to another, because "Folder" is based on "Text" template. Go to Templates directory, show "Item Attributes Pane", and check "Template Item" attribute.

As I mentioned in another thread, check "Core Templates" in the help file. You can change between item types that are based on the same core template or its derivatives.
