Viewing MS documents

The ability to view documents internally in UR is a great feature. I guessed that the MS viewers for .doc, .ppt, and .xls files could be hosted in the browser window instead of the full Office programs by re-associating those file types. For example, .doc is associated with 'wordview.exe' instead or 'winword.exe'. Now, when I click a .doc file in Windows explorer it opens 'wordview' but in UR 'winword' is still launched.

Are winword (and powerpoint, and excel) hardwired in the UR browser? Is what I'm asking possible?

I don't believe the viewer apps support being hosted in IE like the full apps do. The viewer that IE hosted in UR uses for Office documents is not hard-coded -- see http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthre...?threadid=1042 on possibly experimenting with changing that.

I can confirm that following the below instructions worked on xlsx files.
