Sorting Outlook emails

I'm hoping this is a simple question.

I have just imported some Outlook emails. (Most often I leave them in Outlook, but these ones I want in UR).

They have come in flawlessly, and the subject matters appears in the explorer bar, which is what I would want.

However, it would be nice also to be able to sort them in date order or by sender. I see that these fields have been imported as well and are shown in the header above the text of the email.

Is there any easy way to sort on those fields?

Stephen,

For the Parent Item of the imported emails, reveal the Child Item Pane (Ctrl-3), right-click in the Title Area of the grid and select More.

Deselect those fields you don't want, then scroll down to the Message group and select - From, To, and Message Date.

This should give you what you need.

Ashwken, that is just what I wanted to know and very helpful, and Kinook, thank you too.

That gives me 90% of what I want, since I can sort in the child pane on any field I want.

Is there any way, however, to have the explorer pane reflect the sort order in the child pane? That way I can close down the child pane.

I don't think that is possible, yet, and this capability may be what this entry in the Road Map is referring to:

Add columns to Data Explorer pane
