Document confustion again (capture included)

Dear Kevin,

Could you look at the attached please?

Essentially I have an updated brochure "Aluminati Brochure NEW.doc".

I want to move the old one (stored in UR) to my Archive folder with the suffix "v2008-04-30" to show archive date and then import the new copy into UR to be my 'active' brochure in my Sales Documents folder.

However when I drag into UR (and hold down ctrl to copy it), it creates an entry matching the archived version AND the content (when I open the document) is the OLD document.

Do you know what is going on here?

Thanks,
Dan

by the way - if i rename the original filesystem document to "Aluminati Brochure2.doc" THEN it recognises it a a new file and imports it correctly.

Looks like UR is assuming imported files with the same file name are the same file and simply creating a symbolic link to the one it thinks it already has.

Which I think is dangerous as there are plenty of different files that could reasonably have the same file name. Say "Invoice.doc" which you save in each person's individual UR folder...

Uncheck 'Tools | Options | Import (More) | Create logically linked items for duplicate URLs'.

Thank you.
