Question Promote / demote bullet lines?

I, like many others here, rely heavily on outline style bulleted and numbered lists. As such, not being able to promote and demote text lines in the editor is a real problem.

I was happy to see the tip on using Word as the internal editor because it gave me this functionality. Now that I see there is a bug on the way Word saves .rtf files that kills UR search features I must de implement this tip.

What else can I do to get outlining functionality in UltraRecall’s editor?

Will it be added in a future release? If so, where in the pipeline is it?

Instead of removing that feature, the next release will properly handle situations where Word saves .rtf files in .doc format.

Indexing .doc?

Will it also fix the problem where UR dies not search embeded .doc files?

Cancel that. I had created a text item, then draged a Word doc into the item details window from Windows Explorer. It looked like it imported the contents of the Word doc but the Keyword Count never incramented and the text was not searchable.
Looking more closely. I saw "drag handles" surrounding the imported text. This looks like it may have come in as an OLE object rather than discreate text.
