Replace in a .vcproj file

What is the best way to replace in a .vcproj file:

<Tool
Name="VCCustomBuildTool"
Description="Performing registration"
CommandLine="regsvr32 /s /c "$(TargetPath)"
echo regsvr32 exec. time > "$(OutDir)\regsvr32.trg"
e cho Execute mtxrereg.exe before using MTS components in MTS
"
Outputs="$(OutDir)\regsvr32.trg"
/>

with this:

<Tool
Name="VCCustomBuildTool"
/>

In other words a developer performs a custom build step - registration. I want to get rid of this step on my build machine.

I'm using VBP v. 7.2a

thank you
