Actually, all you need to do is preceed the URL with http:// (or whatever else is relevant, i.e. file://, ftp://) and it will "go blue".
For example, copy this message in an item's details and the following URL should be clickable: http://www.outliners.com/discuss/$2005/08/28 In fact, you may just copy the full address from your browser _after_ the page has started loading. alx
