That is incorrect, the information I wrote below I received from Seapine tech support. The support agent had taken the issue to development and about a week later I recieved an email stating that the -d option bypasses the .MYSCMServerInfo file. The workaround is to specify the directory without the -d option. I have tried doing a get this way from a command prompt and it works.
