I don't know whether this would suit your purposes, but you might try storing and syncing your .URD files with Dropbox, as I do: at home I access them with my desktop, and at work, with my laptop.

To be sure, this entails a minor annoyance - making sure to close the files when I finish working on the current computer, so as to avoid sync duplication and the resultant confusion about which is the correct version of the files.
