Maybe sth like
http://www.macroexpress.com/ which was suggested somewhere else could do the trick:
make a button that would do:
CTRL+1
SHIFT+INSERT
(insert date+time, or some default text for new sibling)
ENTER
CTRL+2
... and you are typing in your new sibling ...
