Looks like this may be much easier that what I thought. JarC was kind enough to suggest a workaround in post# 20 here

I tried and was able to get it to store web pages. But, the UR link did not work and in neither cases did this method copy the selected portion of the web page. It did whole page.
Can you please review that the 'externa tools-->add external too' feature to see if it'll work this way?
