File vs. Product Version in .Net steps

Is there a way to set different product and file versions for an assembly from within VisualBuild? It looks like the only option is to apply the same number to both file and product versions. Thanks.

This works fine. I thought there was a property or something since the dll\exe name is returned in the output pane.

I would imagein we would have to do something similar for C++ projects? Thanks.

How do I get the filename output??

When I build a VB project I get the follwoing infomration logged:

Or you could just check history on the files that changed since the last label. Assuminng the full get is successful this should be the same ouput.

I figured it out. If you specify a "Version to Operate ON" in the properties of the VSS "CHECKOUT" and the label is older than the current version in VSS you will get this error.
