Reminders & Recycle Bin

I wonder how people are using the Recycle Bin? About once a month I remove items with Date Deleted over a month old. The problem I've got is with items that have reminders. When an event or meeting gets cancelled I usually delete it to the Recycle Bin. However, the item still triggers a reminder.

Might I suggest that items in the Recycle Bin do NOT trigger a reminder?

They don't. Please ZIP and send or post:
1) The info from Help | About | Install Info
2) A .urd file with a reminder that demonstrates the problem

Thanks.

I tried to create a sample UR database with the problem I reported but I couldn't duplicate it!
I must have been mistaken.
Sorry to have bothered you.

Perhaps the item in question was logically linked to the Recycle Bin and to another parent item? If logically linked, an item could be in the Recycle Bin and still linked to another location (in which case the Reminder would still "fire").

Sorry - I want to reopen the case file.
It happened to me again so I took a closer look. In response to Kinook's request for a sample .urd file I humbly comply.

Please consult "My Data" text in the sample database for instructions.

If you have reminders turned on...
Upon opening the database you should be presented with the reminder window. It might please you to click [Open Item] and observe where the item is located in the Data Explorer. Then go to the "My Data" text for more information.

Thank you for the detailed test case. We were able to reproduce this behavior, and it will be fixed in the next release.
