"On-The-Fly Forms"

I was just using UR to compare SSD drives on
pricewatch when it occurred to me that I wanted a faster way to quickly get some custom colums to sort by for a quick temporary job. (Comparing a few numbers regarding SSD read/write sped , cap size, and price, etc ) I imagined that the best way to do that would be to let the user build a new form in-line, and even allow in-line creation of new attributes. I've created custom forms before, but it seemed daunting to go hunting for that feature (haven't used it in ages), and I didn't really event want the attributes to hang around and pollute the global namespace anyway. +1/-1? click on the vote for fun, amusement and profit_? see the attached mockup using my "book" Form. Initially the drop downs would contain entries like " " |
*sigh*
*sigh* I just discovered that you can't even edit/add Attributes from the existing Form dialog... what a drag gotta go to 2 places. OK. I'll do it.... drag on.. no problem, won't bother posting this nag... *WAIT* *UGH* now I have to go edit Templates too?? Dang, I never remember making new form stuff as being this hard... plus everything is permanent.. what a drag to go back through and clean it out... (perhaps a way to have a "junk" items category that can be filtered/unfiltered?) |
