exclude files from folder import
 

When I select import folder all files are imported.
But I want only certain file-types to be imported.
For exampe a folder, inclusive subfolders, contains several file types (*.htm, *.txt, *.doc etc.)
Can I force UR to import only the *.htm files (inlcusive those in the subfolders ?

Currently there is no way to provide an extension "filter" when importing a folder as you requested, although that could be a useful feature.

One option would be to use xcopy (with /s) to copy only the files you wish to import into Ultra Recall to an alternate location on your hard drive. Then import the files from this alternate location using the Import Folders wizard.

This is obviously not as convenient as what you requested, and will result in the url stored for these Info Items not matching the original location (if you are storing the documents in Ultra Recall then that probably won't be a significant issue).

Thank, back to the roots, I did not remeber good old DOS and with a short batch it works.
Please take this function into consideration for a future version.
