Does Ultra Recall support multi-user access to a database?
Yes, a database located on a network share or shared folder can be opened and edited by multiple users (provided the users have the necessary permissions).
It's not designed to handle a high degree of concurrency for updates, so multiple users performing long-running updates could result in a locking error (the operation can be retried later if such an error occurs). Only one user is allowed to edit an item; other users will have read-only access to the item while another user is editing an item. Storing a UR database on a USB stick (and carrying it around physically between computers) is another viable option for a single user needing access to one database from multiple locations. |
