item rename masks
 

I want to be able to rename a whole group of items at the same time (ex. delete a particular common prefix on all selected items). Being able to define various rename masks (wildcard, regex, find/replace etc.) would allow me to do this and would be a very cool addition to UR.

I use Directory Opus as an Explorer replacement and the renaming functionality in that program rocks... would be a good model for this feature in UR.

Yes, and Masking on the creation side as well - ssn, phone, ...

I have a dream that such bold endeavor could include the re-name of attributes being shown in the user-defined forms.
With the current version, Item Title is Item Title. In reality, the Item Title could be SSN, Zip, Realty Agent Code, Stock, Civil Case Number,...etc. Now they are universally called Item Title.
