breaking derived template inheritance
 

I would like this to be added as an option to the template inheritance features.

Currently, when you remove an attribute from a parent template, the attribute will also be removed from derived templates if the user selects to remove the attribute from all info items.

If this option were provided, the attribute would be removed from info items inheriting from the parent template but the attribute would not be removed from derived templates inheriting from the parent template.

From an implementation perspective I guess I am asking you to separate out child objects of parent templates into 2 kinds for attribute management purposes: Info Items and Derived Templates.

I hope I have made this enhancement request clear - if not please ask for more detail. I hope you are able to implement this feature too - I know it is always easier to describe a feature than implement it :-)
