Can't open VBP : Error Loading Action list
 

Hi,

I was updating a build script when suddenly I get weird errors. I couldn't change properties on steps.

So I closed Visual Build Pro. And tried re-opening it. Now I can't even open Visual Build Pro at all.


I get this error :
"Error loading action list. The system cannot find the file specified."

I had been working on this file for a couple days and everything was fine.
Today I was testing some steps in my script, and all of a sudden I get errors.

Did the script get corrupted, and because VBP is trying to load last script when I open it, it just errors and won't open?

Can someone tell me how to fix this? or what the cause is? Hope I didn't lose my work... ?

Sounds like something in your registry got hosed. Try deleting the registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Kinook Software\Visual Build Professional\Actions

(if it exists) and reinstalling VisBuildPro.

The registry key you mentioned wasn't there :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Kinook Software\Visual Build Professional\Actions

so I uninstalled and re-installed visual build pro. It seems to work now. At least I was able to open my build script.
next week will try to re-test each steps I tested today. Hopefully I won't be able to reproduce this problem.
