For special formatting (bold, italic, etc.), add a space or other character to the associated template item (i.e., Text) text and format as desired.

How to set default tabs, font, font color, languge, etc.?The default tabs are determined by the tabs open when the database was last closed. Fonts are configured at Tools | Options | Editor and Tools | Options | Fonts and/or Windows Display settings. Language settings are configured in Windows Regional and Language Options.

Kinook,
Thanks for your guidance. I should consult the manual in the first place. I plan to reread the entire manual once more.
Nonetheless, I still fail to change the default font color from black to navy blue. I can manually change the font color.
Thanks again.

Kinook already said that, so I just reiterate:

in your template, you need to write at least one character (or space) with the given format/colour/ ...
then when you create items based of this template it will have that colour/font/ ...

Quant,
Now I got the idea perfectly clear. Thanks.
