Not able to build C# 2010 .sln using VBP

Hi,

I have configured the build for a .net C# 2010 project using VBP.
It was working fine till yesterday. But today I'm not able to build the project from Visual Build Pro (It works fine when I build from the VS2010 IDE). I get an error:

The selected file is a solution file, but was created by a newer version of this application and cannot be opened.

Please help me.

Thanks!

When I run it from VBP it shows the VS version as:

Microsoft (R) Visual Studio Version 9.0.30729.1.

It should rather be - 10.0.40219.1

No one has changed the version in the .sln file
But why is VBP trying to build the sln using an incorrect version and then throwing the above error..

Please ZIP and send the .sln file, along with the info requested at http://www.kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=3044. Thanks.

Exclamation

Has this been resolved? We have the very same issue as the OP. We're running VBP 7.7.

Our build box has the following:
- Visual Build Pro 7.7
- Visual Studio 2008
- Visual Studio 2010 SP1

I can open the VS 2012 modified project using VS 2010 and build it without issue. However, the VS 2010 build step uses VS 2008 and show "Microsoft (R) Visual Studio Version 9.0.30729.1".

I don't believe we received any additional information on this issue. As far as we know, this is working properly in Visual Build v8. Visual Build v7 does not support VS 2012 file format and may not operate correctly on newer project/solution files. If the problem persists in v8, please send the info requested at http://kinook.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=3044.
