Prevent IE/UE from showing script error
Hi,
I'm using UR 4.2a in IE 9 (9.0.8112) and I'm trying to send some previously marked texts from a web page to my UR database, using UR's context menu of IE. However, I get a script error which says that access is denied for/within URL file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/UltraRecall/Integration/StoreFromIE.html It seems that some security settings of IE is causing this, however, I cannot figure out which one. Can sbdy please give me a hint where to switch this off? cu, Michael |

I'm not sure if there is a way to prevent that. You may need to use the Ultra Recall toolbar buttons instead.

Thanks for your answer.
OTH the tool-bar buttons copies the complete page to UR and not just the selected parts of the web page. Michael |

The toolbar button copies only the selected parts of a page in my tests, but you do need to allow the plugin to access the clipboard (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...=vs.85%29.aspx).

Hi,
using the toolbar button "Copy to Ultra Recall", in IE9, does *not* show the dialog where I've to allow the access to the clipboard. Instead UR starts up, I select the location where to store the web page and that's it. UR now saved a copy of the *complete* web page and not just the text I've selected before. Hence, using the toolbar button is not an option. My intention is to copy my selection only to UR and not the whole page. Maybe an updated IE add-on will solve this? Currently UR plugin version 4.2.1.0 is installed. Edit: IE option to allow access to clipboard is active. Anyway I do not get the dialog you mention in the link above. cu, Michael |

The script error, access denied, is located in file StoreFromIE.html line:
// default to using the page url var url = args.location.href; I've yet not found any option of IE9 to get rid of this annoying issue. Michael |
